GRATITUDE (Poem)

  *  GRATITUDE. * 

                   AF EKBAL.

Gratitude- a simple term   

Yet a powerful armour-    

Gratitude is the flame   

A deep spark arrestor. 

So many people around     

Make us happy and blossom,  

Let's be grateful enough    

To please and rejoice them. 

Happy the man who   

Pay the dues of others duly,  

Why not we quittance ourselves   

Saying thanks gratefully. 

Happy are those who give always   

With no desire of any return,   

In fact are blessed with     

Their actions in turn.
