EPOCH THAT I SPENT

*  EPOCH THAT I SPENT  * 

                -AF EKBAL. 

Achieved nothing significant in life 

Still I am happy, 

Happy with the enjoyment that I earned hardly 

And never want to destroy the same. 

My baggage is full of expectations 

With better and bitter aches, 

With dear ones and bundle of tears 

With a heartful of tranquility and quietness. 

Living much better than my perception 

That needs not more appreciation, 

The path I built with promise and commitment- 

Nothing can null it for any price ! 

The vehicle is ready now to move 

To reach the destination, 

To end the trip along 

To have a rest; 

Though foresee some hurdles 

Of arranging the adequate fuel. 

But have no regret 

For the epoch I spent.
