Let's Think . (POEM)

*  LET'S THINK . * 

                   -AF  EKBAL. 

                   

 After crossing near about six decades-      

Think 'have lived enough to know   

That I don't know enough     

Of life and it's ecstasy and agony. 

Enriched whom in abundance   

Want more-   

And is from the devastated poor !   

A few hands only ahead   

In prayers and bestowal !  

Who will build the bridge    

To connect both the edges ?   

Who will enflesh the rips   

To reach the hearts those are reft?  

Regret- I couldn't even prepare myself ! 

What I know a little-    

More love and fancy   

Can overturn all the discrepancies.  

Let's think and rethink-   

Can't we move forth   

In amplifying ourselves    

With courage and strength,   

To wreck the pains,    

To bring the cheerful sphere here.
