ON THE WAY TO LAKHIMPUR-KHERI !

Had been walking lined up, 

Catenary, unarmed 

Flags in the hands 

Under the banner of prowess. 

Had been a peaceful protest 

Beneath the umbrella 

Of our great democracy 

Highlighting our 

Constitution, 

The right of expression! 

But so thirsty people 

So hungry people 

Are on the throne - 

In trace of flesh and blood 

Wish to crush 

Its own citizens 

To meet up their appetite ! 

They can 

Ride on the vehicles  

Of their ego, 

Can fire fars  

Yet, must meet up the thirst ! 

Vultures now the  

Information system is !

Power is in the feet,

And are tied to their vocal voices

Masked their faces   

Bandaged their limbs- 

As and when fell down 

From the Constitutional trip ! 

In this  'Amrit Festival'  

Of cheap deaths- 

Pilots are so busy  

To lift up the 

Flights of DEMO-CRAZY !  

So they feel no pain 

But to endorse self-indulgence 

No time to look at 

The death parades ! 

So, let's visit 

Lakhimpur-Kheri- 

To witness  

The centenary of   

Jalian Wala Bagh.
